The download, installation, short-cut creation and filetype association are standard and intuitive, for those who are familiarized with these tasks. However, to avoid any discomfort in this field, we provide the following tips...Download and Installation
2. After the conclusion of the download, you must require the extraction of the corresponding files. This can be done with a double click on the compressed file and the subsequent order to "Extract all files", or with a single click on the mouse right button, and by selecting "Extract all..." on the pop-up window (or by invoking one of the available decompression programs shown there).
3. In any case, select the destination folder, bearing in mind that you must have full permission for reading and writing files in this folder. Observe, also, that the destination folder shall preferably be visible to all other potential users of Decifra in your computer, with no restrictions for file access. Any failure in these privileges will prevent the user to access the program. If you have no special restrictions in the destination computer, we ordinarily suggest a folder named "C:\Decifra2\", but you can select any other valid folder (and even create new a folder during the file extraction).
IMPORTANT: All files must be expanded in the same destination folder, where all Decifra customizing files will later be written. To preserve the significance of this "Decifra folder", songs and other documents shall preferably be saved in other folders. To organize your song library, we suggest the creation of a specific folder structure (which you can modify, from time to time, for your convenience).
3. To create a shortcut in the Start Menu, and in its folders Programs or Favorites, simply drag the Desktop one with the mouse to the desired position. Alternatively, use the Windows Explorer to select the special folder which represents the Start Menu (or one of its subfolders) and, on its top menu, click in File > New > Shortcut to invoke the shortcut creation window. Then, repeat the procedure described above.
1. Before the program selection, some Windows versions may ask you for a decision between a "Web (Internet) search" and "Searching on a list" (which must be your choice).
