As the unlocking password becomes invalid in case of system modifications (substitution, upgrades, updates, formatting, etc.), registered users are entitled to receive new passwords, for all their lifetime, at no extra cost (but under certain conditions).
Rules for new (free) passwordsThis rule is not an absolute law. We may provide new passwords in smaller intervals, but not as an obligation. In such decision, we will consider your history, regarding new passwords, and any arguments you may want to send us. Anyway, we now recommend that people in the process of changing or upgrading their computers shall avoid buying our licence, up to the moment they can rely on their new hard disks. If you are not planning to do so, don't worry. Hard disks are reliable enough.
And we are flexible enough to deal with normal people (and normal situations).
However, if you modify your system every 3 months or so, requiring a new password in such frequency, we may not be as flexible as you need. As mentioned, that would be an acceptable minimum interval, but not a reasonable frequency.
Please note that we do not recommend multiple installations as a solution for this problem. They are a natural alternative if you want to use Decifra in more than one computer. However, as they multiply the 'reasonable' frequency by 2 or 3, they can also be used, under mutual agreement, as a paliative solution for situations with critically high frequency of password claiming).
These rules may be modified at any time, but always keeping their principles:
Registered users will always be entitled to receive new passwords, under
reasonable conditions.
